Chlamydia & Gonorrhoea STI Test Kit

Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea are two of the most common sexually transmitted infection in the UK. Both conditions can be a silent condition where people who have the infection may have no idea that they have it. Research has shown that up to 50% of men and 70-80% of women may never show any symptoms. If left untreated chlamydia and gonorrhoea can have long term complications including a increased risk of infertility.

When should I take an STI test?

You can take a test at any time, however, to ensure accurate results you should take the test at least 2 weeks after having unprotected sex. If you have contracted the infection within the last two weeks the infection may be in its early stage which is makes it harder to detect.

How accurate is the test?

All of our STI tests are carried out by our partner pathology laboratory, TDL Ltd, who also provide test services to the NHS and private sector healthcare companies. The test process is carried out to the same standard as you would get from your local GP or GUM clinic, with all tests carried out under strict laboratory conditions.

The test will show results for genital chlamydia and gonorrhoea. Note that this test will not show results for rectal or oral (throat) chlamydia or gonorrhoea.

Type of sample required

• Female Test: vaginal swab sample. 
• Male Test: Urine Sample.

Sending your sample:

Once you have collected your sample you will need to place it in the container provided to keep it secure and post the sample to our laboratory using the pre-paid envelope provided.

Results Turnaround Time:

The laboratory will return results within 1-2 days. Once we have received your test results they will be posted to the STI test area in your account.

What if my result is positive?

Positive result for Chlamydia:

If you have tested positive for chlamydia you will be provided with a free course of antibiotics. Instructions on how to order your free antibiotics will be provided with your test results. 

Positive result for Gonorrhoea:

If you have tested positive for Gonorrhoea it is recommended that you have an antibiotic injection. This treatment is not available through NationWide Pharmacies.

When you order you will be given the choice of Royal Mail 1st Class or Next Day Delivery. All packaging is discreet and does not mention what the packet contains.

Guaranteed next working day delivery is subject to a delivery charge of £7.50. Orders are despatched by Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day. Next Day delivery orders need to be placed before 1PM (Mon-Fri). Your order will arrive before 1PM the next working day.
