What is Gaviscon used for?

Gaviscon Advance is used for the relief of heartburn and acid indigestion (dyspepsia) which can cause a burning sensation in the lower chest and throat. Both conditions are common and often occur during pregnancy.

How to use Gaviscon Advance:

• Shake bottle before use
• Take 10ml after meals and one spoonful at bedtime.
• If you missa dose there is no need to take a double dose the next time.

Side-effects:

Gaviscon Advance contains methyl & propyl parahydroxybenzoates which can cause an allergic reaction. Check the ingredients information below to make sure you are not allergic to the formula.

Ingredients:

Active Ingredients: Sodium alginate, potassium hydrogen carbonate

Other Ingredients:  Calcium Carbonate, carbomer, methyl & propyl parahydroxybenzoates, sodium saccharin, sodium hydroxide, peppermint flavouring and purified water.
