Bio-Glucosamine Super is a joint supplement intended to support cartilage and bones. Glucosamine is a naturally occurring sugar molecule, the product contains vitamin C which contributes to collagen formation for normal functioning of bones and cartilage. Glucosamine is produced within the body, but levels reduce with increasing age.

Supplements are best source of additional glucosamine, as there are no food sources of this nutrient. Bio-Glucosamine Super contains glucosamine sulphate.

Glucosamine is used within the body to form more complex molecules (proteoglycans) necessary for the maintenance and repair of joint cartilage and related issues (ligaments, tendons). Glucosamine increases proteoglycan synthesis in cartilage cells (chondrocytes), as well as inhibiting the action of the enzymes normally responsible for the degradation of cartilage.
