Bio-CLA contains 500mg of safflower oil, equivalent to 375mg of CLA., in an easily absorbed form. Bio-CLA contains the two major isomers of CLA (cis9t rans11 and trans10 cis12) which are most utilised within the body. Bio-CLA is manufactured under Danish pharmaceutical control. The preparation is blister packed for maximum bio-availability.

CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) is the most abundant polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) found in human tissues. Most of the CLA in the body is of dietary origin, obtained mainly from dairy and meat products. CLA is formed principally within the digestive tracts of ruminant animals, whilst human production of CLA does not occur to a significant degree. Changes in modern farming practice, particularly from grass fed to grain fed cattle, has resulted in large reductions in dietary levels of CLA in dairy and meat products.

What does Bio-CLA do?

CLA is a component of cell membranes, and cell signalling pathways. The action of CLA is reliant on zinc, therefore supplementation of CLA is of no benefit if there is a zinc deficiency present.

How to take Bio-CLA:

• 2-4 capsules twice daily.
• To maximise absorption take capsules with food.
