Another effective over the counter remedy is a mix of 500mg paracetamol and 8mg or 15mg of a much stronger painkiller which works by mimicking your body’s natural pain reducing chemicals which are called endorphins. Endorphins are found in the brain and spinal cord. They block the transmission of pain signals sent to the brain by your nerves. This mix can be very effective at reducing severe pain.

If over the counter Paracetamol mix is not providing effective pain relief a stronger version is available. This mix of 500mg paracetamol and 30mg of a stronger pain killer is only available after an online consultation with our Doctor.

A relatively new prescription pain killer on the market is is manufactured by Pfizer. This new medication is for the treatment of inflammation and pain caused by the two most common forms of arthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. It is classified as a non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), however, it is unique in its biologic action compared to previously available drugs of this class because it is one of the first non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) to selectively inhibit primarily the Cox-2 enzyme, while sparing the Cox-1 enzyme that is responsible for protecting the delicate lining of the stomach.

This new product can help if you suffer from any of the following:

• Osteoarthritis pain (a form of arthritis, occurring mainly in older persons, that is characterized by chronic degeneration of the cartilage of the joints) 
• Rheumatoid arthritis pain (chronic autoimmune disease with inflammation of the joints and marked deformities). 
• Acute pain (short term pain secondary to dental procedure, surgery, etc.). 
• Primary dysmenorrhea pain (moderate to severe menstrual pain).
